I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Lunar New Year! For those who don’t know, this is the Year of the Snake! Pretty awesome, right?
This morning, Mama Bear decided to tell me my fortune (for fun) for this year. Something about traveling a lot, something about cars? Yeah, I don’t get it either. The traveling part makes sense because I already have a lot of trips booked and I’m excited! 
But as she was telling me my fortune, I had a flashback to last year. Last year, Mama Bear told me I would find love. I was floored. Honestly, I thought to myself, “I’m not sure I’m ready!“ I have so much to do, so many things to see! I’m not sure I want to settle down if I can’t find a man who can keep up with me or at least enjoy the same things as me.
I think her telling me that fortune actually changed the way I thought in some situations. I still enjoyed every minute of being single, but then I started looking at everyone differently. Like, is it you? Am I going to find love with you? How about you? Er…you?
I don’t mean that in a slutty way! I just meant I would end up confusing myself. Instead of simply enjoying other people’s company, I would start analyzing things. Which is no fun at all. Throughout the year, the whole “finding love” thing slipped from my subconscious more and more. Then when mid-December came around, I realized my fortune had already come true and I just didn’t realize it.
I fell in love with me.
That might sound weird to some. But each month, each day I’m single, I realize more and more how much happier I am as I rebuild who I am exactly and learn to be selfish. I’ve given so much to so many people whether it be friends, lovers, family, etc. It was time to really love myself and be selfish. Now that I’ve realized my new found “love,” I’ve had an amazing time really just basking in this new self confidence and happiness 
Regardless if you celebrate Lunar New Year or not, I wish you all the very best in 2013!! And here’s an awesome picture I took yesterday at Disney California Adventures…of course I wore Batman-inspired clothing!!
